My Chocolate Chip with Peanuts Cookies (Amos-wannabe =))

Yesterday my sister and I decided on making some chocolate chip cookies with peanuts to satisfy our cravings for more Amos-chocolatey goodness...It was a good attempt and we managed to come up with cookies which tasted n smelled a lot like the ones from Famous Amos...quality matters so don't scrimp on the peanuts and chocolate chips..i would recommend using nicer and more expensive peanuts and choc chips as the cheaper ones couldnt compare, no matter what anyone else might say :) but if u insist, den who am i to say no, right? haha..have fun!

Sharing is caring so here's the recipe ;P

160g butter (salted) - we used Golden Churn
140g white sugar
260g self raising flour (if u're using all purpose flour, just add in 2 tsp of baking powder into the mix to get the same amount)
120g roughly chopped peanuts
200g chocolate chips (actually 100-150g would be more than sufficient, we are just plain greedy :P)
1 egg - medium size

1) Beat butter and sugar until white and fluffy.
2) Add egg and beat until well mixed
3) Add sifted flour bit by bit until nicely incorporated. The mixture would be a lil stiff by now.
4) Add in peanuts and chocolate chips and mix well.
5) Heat up oven to 180 degree Celsius and bake for about 20 minutes depending on the size of the cookies.

PS: I oiled my baking plate with some butter before dusting with flour so that it is super easy to get the cookies off. That's optional I guess.

how the batter looks :)

end result! looks nyum nyummmmmm ne?
