My usual fave...the classic chocolate but this branch is really a disappointment...even the chocolate tasted bland...hmm...

Taste Better/Tasty Yummy Miri

This is a new snack outlet in Miri....in front of the Big Apple's in Parkson...
I took away a set of the durian puffs yesterday and they were very delicious...crispy and soft in the inside with a rather watery version of the durian paste...nevertheless, a pretty good attempt I should say as the puff's texture reminded me of the puffs sold in a corner in Prangin and was better than Puff Daddy's but sadly, when I went for the durian puffs again today, I was sorely disappointed as the puffs changed overnight~!!!*outraged* LOL...kidding
Ah well, looks nice anyway. Hope they will change back to the better version of the puffs...RM5.50 for a set (7 puffs)
The cappucino...RM4.30 was a lil too "buttery" for me but my sis claimed it was a very nice cup of cappucino...hmmm...oh well...

Halo Cafe, Miri

Went to this cafe today...with my sis for our lunch since I have been seeing the banner on the RM6.90 ++ lunch for a while now...When we reach, since the blackpepper chicken rice was finished...decided to order the "Kam Heong" sotong (cuttlefish)...FYI, the set lunch comes with a free drink (either green tea or orange squash for today) and an ice-cream (chocolate ones today). The set lunch main dish have 4 different ones to choose from each day...so..here goes..oyeah, there's a complimentary soup too I think...for any dishes ordered...cause my sis ordered the nestum chicken with rice and hers got a soup too...

The "Kam Heong" sotong - pretty nyummy cause I like the sambal...and they're using the Lady's Choice thousand island for dressing if I'm not mistaken...hiaks...

The cuttlefish deep fried with salt n pepper...pretty gud actually...

The black pepper beef noodles...very nyummy and there's a generous amount of beef given

The fruit cocktail fried rice...um...i personally find the wine's smell a lil overpowering..

The beef fried in tomato sauce with rice...the accompanying soup is rili bitter...ewww...a kind of herbal soup actually...

The chicken baked rice (i like the mango sauce but it's a lil overbearing if taken too much, the corn sauce is pretty normal and onion one is ok if u love onions...i forgot the saturn sauce's verdict though)...but overall, the baked rice here is very good and comparable to Kim Gary's...
