Good Food in Morsjaya, Miri

For the life of me, I couldn't recall the name of this coffee shop. Maybe all the time when my family and I wanted to come here, we simply referred to it as "the yellow shop in Morsjaya". Anyway if you are a local Mirian, you would probably know where Morsjaya is. In case you don't, it's the whole area opposite Merdeka Mall. After you turn in next to the Petronas Petrol Station, go straight and you will see a shop in yellow from it's shop walls to its "name plate".

This place is famous for its Sarawak Laksa and also the sullen-faced owner. LOL. Don't let that deter you though. Like they say, good food never comes easy. Haha! They used to have quite good Kueh Chap as well but lately the taste has changed so maybe you should give it a miss.

What a lot of people did not realised is that they have really good "Gong Pia" here too. This is a minced pork stuff bun which is crusty and has lots of sesame seeds coating it outside. It is famous in Sibu and Miri seldom has good stalls selling it and most were quite hard and unappetising. Well, the one here are quite similar to the one you might find in Sibu, so definitely try it when you are in the area OK? 😊

UPDATE:
I went again and managed to take photos of the shop and additional stuff ordered aside from the ones above. It's called Hong Yung Cafe.

Fancy some wantans or Kolok mee while you are here?
