You Yuan Restaurant, Bukit Rimau - A Review

This is one of the places that offer reasonable Chinese dishes in Shah Alam area. Although the prices have increased, this was to be expected with the implementation of GST and the recent slump of Ringgit's value. For under RM50, you can probably get about 3 dishes and 3 big rice including 2 drinks. The fish used to be RM10-12 but has now increased to RM14.

They do have air conditioning so it is pretty comfortable since the haze now is pretty bad. I love their French beans with salted duck egg. However, I am not too sure of their sweet and sour pork. It was alright but not especially good if compared to the French beans. The ginger steam fish is an acquired taste. I am not sure everyone would like it but they do have plenty of other choices. I like their Assam fish and marmite pork so I guess it's a matter of personal preference.

A word of caution. Always make sure you check their receipt as they seemed to be quite prone to keying in the wrong items bringing the total bill to a much higher price than it should be. Just double check and let them know the *ahem* errors.

Do visit them if you are in the area at:
