Italiannies, Mid Valley - A Review

Yesterday we went to Italiannies for dinner, right before we went for my long-awaited Transylvania Hotel 2! Sadly, the options here were pretty limited. We were going to order two other food: the smoked duck pizza and the tortellini instead of the salmon pizza and the prawns and mushrooms linguini. This was quite annoying especially since we had already set our mind on them after going through the menu and all. That aside, food was good, like usual but I would have loved it more if our first choices were available.

The bread was fluffy and soft, the meatball bolognaise was good with plenty of meat (once you chop up the gigantic meatball with your fork) and the shrimps/prawns in the pasta were fresh although on the medium to smaller side and the amount of mushrooms were quite little even though we ordered the regular portion. The meatball bolognaise was a piccolo (small) but I guess you could probably guess from the amount of gigantic meatball they put. It's one for piccolo, two for regular and three for the large. The salmon pizza was pretty nyum with generous slices of sashimi but the cream cheese was on the little side. I like their fluffy thin crust!
I think it's one of the nicer Italian shops around in malls and if you have points in your CIMB credit card, use it to pay and get an extra 10% discount on that (credit to a Pinch of Salt member card).
